Tips for Large Bachelorette Parties

Bachelorette parties are a blast, but the more people you invite, the earlier you will want to start planning. With invitations, party gifts, games, and supplies, there is a lot of work to be done to pull off a bachelorette party for a large group of people.

Ask the bride-to-be for a list of people that she would like to attend, the party date, and any special theme instructions. This list should include the guests’ addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. This will help you decide on the location and room size, which will in turn help to determine availability. Many hotels and event centers provide deals for larger groups of people, but it’s still necessary to make a reservation as soon as possible. This is especially true if the party is in the spring or summer when a lot of people are getting married.

Get other guests involved by sending an e-mail asking who would like to help out. Planning a bachelorette party for very large groups of people won’t be easy, so take any help that is offered. This will make your party planning less stressful and free up more of your time for the fine details. Solicit help with invitations, party gifts, games, and supplies to even out the workload and make planning even easier. Take advantage of creative friends who may be able to make party gifts and supplies. This is a great way to save money for other expenses.

When planning for a very large bachelorette party, it’s best to collect the money before the party. Put one or two people in charge of this task and make sure that everyone pays before the party date. It’s no fun chasing people for money the night of the party or after the party is over. Create an e-mail reminder and take people off the list as they pay. Very large bachelorette parties take a lot of planning and coordination, so make sure you don’t try to do it all alone. The goal is to have a fabulous party and give the bride-to-be a memorable experience, not work yourself to the bone.

Decorating Ideas for Bachelorette Parties

A bachelorette party wouldn’t be complete without festive decorations and a fun theme. Of course, how elaborate and inventive the decorations are depends greatly upon the party’s budget. First determine what you have to spend, and then work on decorating to match.

For a low budget party, such as one taking place in a friend’s home or yard, a very simple theme might suffice. Choose streamers, balloons, and flowers in the bride’s favorite colors and spread them throughout the house and yard. Of course, this is fairly basic, and it’s possible to have a lot more fun with decorating. If the bride wants a wild and crazy party, there are plenty of both raunchy and funny decorations available to turn any venue into a haven of naughtiness.

A classier party with a predetermined theme should have decorations which fit that theme. For instance, if the bride is having a wine-tasting party, decorate with bunches of fresh grapes in crystal or ceramic bowls and hang photography prints of wine country and vineyards on the walls. Another fun idea might be to have a gypsy party with fortune tellers and tarot readings. Drape the room with shawls and fringe. Remove the regular light bulbs from some lamps and replace them with red ones to create a dim and mysterious atmosphere. Use crystal balls for centerpieces and ask the guests to come in costume to complete the illusion. If the bride loves the beach but can’t have a seaside party, lay out beach chairs and umbrellas in the yard. You can even purchase bags of sand and designate an area for building sand castles. Serve drinks with little umbrellas and fruit and give all the guests tropical leis. If the party is in the summer, ask the guests to wear bathing suits or sundresses. There are countless other ideas for creative decorations at bachelorette parties. The most important part is to make sure that the decorations are appropriate for the theme and that they fit the bride’s taste.
