Bachelorette Party Etiquette
The number one rule of bachelorette parties is that they must be fun for the bride and all the participants. Most of all, the bride’s wishes should be followed. The party is meant to usher her into the next phase of her life. Therefore, all those throwing the party should do their best to make it memorable and fun. Some tips and guidance can make the whole planning process, along with the party itself, go more smoothly.

1. The maid of honor is normally in charge of setting up the party. Keeping within the bride’s guidelines, the maid of honor is in charge of setting up the place, buying trinkets or gifts, sending out the invitations, getting dancers (if the bride wants them), and choosing food and decorations.
2. The people on the guest list usually include the bridesmaids, maid of honor, and the bride’s closest friends. The mothers of the bride and the groom are invited at the discretion of the bride. Normally only those invited to the wedding are asked to the party.
3. The bachelorette party is normally held two weeks to two months before the wedding at a time when the bride may need a break from the hectic schedule of preparing for her wedding.
4. The cost of the party can be split among the guests, taking into consideration anyone who may not be in a position to pay as much as the others.
5. If things get out of hand, the maid of honor is responsible for getting things under control. She should make sure that the bride is not embarrassed. The bridesmaids are there to help the maid of honor and the bride.
